The car mechanics in this game are perfect. Tuning design is very accurate if you take the time to learn what works with the proper vehicle. Obviously the cars are meant to drift and  I personally think that most of the maps are made to accommodate that driving experience. I'd love to see wheel/pedal input implemented at some point, but I would say this game is way ahead of it's time. How it can run in browser with ease and the small file size with download astonishes me. I'm hopeful this project is not over and we'll see updates/advancements. I  hope to see more.
